State fumes over IPFT’s continuous strike, BMS supporters blocks road at Agartala city

The activist of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Tripura centre, on Monday staged road blockade demanding to disperse IPFT protestors from Highway as the continuous blockade has led to massive loss for the daily wage workers.

Fuming over the silence of the State Government into the road and rail blockade by the IPFT Protestors the BMS supporters demanding to immediately disperse the IPFT supporters from the NH8 as it is one of the major way of communication in the state.

Getting alarm about the incident, huge police force along with SDM S. Chowdhury also reached the spot. Road and rail traffic was affected in Tripura since Monday as the Indigeneous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) party leaders and supporters launched an indefinite blockade for Tipraland statehood. The indefinite National Highway-8 and railways blockade movement has hampered normal lives. The government has appealed to the agitators to withdraw it before they sit for the stir and even after they started it. In fact, a meeting was held between them and the government, Still, they are adamant to their demands.
