CM Manik Sarkar visits flood affected areas

Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Saturday visited the flood affected areas and personally monitored the areas which are being inundated and sub-merged under flood water.

It is to be mentioned here that CM Manik Sarkar was also accompanied by Health Minister Badal Chowdhury and other officials.

Flash floods has triggered serious hue and cry across the state since Thursday.

 A heavy downpour has triggered flash flood in parts of Tripura since Thursday night, forcing hundreds of families to take shelter in atleast 31 relief camps. Due to the flood, water lashed inside CM Manik Sarkar's house. Even the street near CM's residence was under water due to heavy rain.

Several major rivers, including Howrah river, which passes through the capital city, were flowing above the danger mark.

Almost all parts of the capital city and its outskirts, including major roads, remain submerged in rain water.
