Tripura to celebrate Mahashivratri on Wednesday

Along with the nation, Tripura will also observed the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri in all most all the temples of the state on Wednesday.  

Preparation is on the peak for the auspicious celebration of the Mahashivratri.  Market is already inundated with the ritual stuffs.

Devotees offered prayers to Lord Shiva on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, which is being celebrated across the nation.

 Devotees thronged the Shiva temples across the city right from noon to perform special pujas with milk, ghee, honey and incense sticks. People from all communities come here to pray every year.

In Agartala, the Maha Shivratri Puja started with much reverence and sincerity at Battala Shiv Mandir, Shivbari Temple at Ker Chowmuhani, Shibnagar Shibbari and a couple of other temples of the supreme God.

The Maha Shivaratri festival is celebrated every year on the 14th day in the Krishna Paksha of the month of Falgun in the Hindu calendar.
