MLA Dr Dilip Das visits IGM Hospital and takes initiative to expand services

Agartala, May 13, 2022: IGM Hospital’s Rogi Kalyan Samiti chairman MLA Dr Dilip Das visited the respective hospital on Friday. MLA Dr Das often inspects the infrastructure and various problems of IGM Hospital.After the inspection on Friday, he said that the newly constructed building at IGM Hospital was originally built to expand the various departments of the hospital. But due to the sudden increase in Corona pandemic, the building became known as the Covid Dedicated Hospital.
He said the hospital was being set up by the state government to take all necessary measures during the night shift. He added that the multi-storey building has a total of 120 beds for treatment. There are also various medical equipments.According to Dr. Dilip Das, the third wave of corona is now over. There is no guarantee that the fourth wave will come. As a result, this dedicated Covid Center may be ruined by not using the various materials. He also said that there is no need for this center as the prevalence of corona is less at present. Therefore, the state government and the health department have decided to use the building for a range of departments at IGM Hospital.He further added, the new building will be used for departments like pathology, ophthalmology or super specialty. He said the visit was to observe the matter. MLA Dr. Dilip Das was accompanied by other members of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti during the visit.
