Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed the modalities of the forthcoming Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas and Investors Summit in the state. Talking to the media after the meeting which lasted about 45 minutes, Chouhan said he invited Modi to open the newly built Mahakal Corridor in Ujjain, to which the Prime Minister agreed. "Earlier, the Investor Summit was to be held on November 4-6. It has been shifted to January 7-8 since the Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas will be held in Indore on January 9, 2023," Chouhan said. Talking about the Mahakal Corridor, the Chief Minister said that various types of constructions have been carried out in the complex including Rudra Sagar Sarovar, Shiva Stambh and Saptarishi Sthal and he has urged Modi to inaugurate it. He said the state government has formulated a new policy on startups in Madhya Pradesh. "Startups are emerging at a rapid pace in Madhya Pradesh. We have formulated a policy on startups, for which we have requested the Prime Minister. The PM will likely launch this policy by joining us virtually in the month of May," the Chief Minister said. Meanwhile, Modi tweeted that he discussed with Chouhan "the good governance initiatives of the MP government and how their transformative schemes are bringing a positive change in people's lives".
