Nagaland records 86 new COVID positive cases

Nagaland recorded 86 new cases, increasing the overall Coronavirus count in the state to 32,616, a state health bulletin said.
With no report of death in COVID related to the pandemic in the state, the death count remained at 703.
According to the official bulletin, out of 86 fresh COVID cases on Thursday in Nagaland, 77 cases were reported in Dimapur, six cases in Kohima and three in Peren.
These were out of 1,052 test results and they included 41 travellers from outside the state, 42 were detected during self-testing and random sampling, one in the Security forces, one in traced contact and one was frontline worker, taking the total caseload of the State to 32,616.
Altogether 17 patients were recovered in Nagaland, with these a total of 30,456 people have recovered from the infection in Nagaland so far.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the State now stands at 287.
Of the active cases in the State, 265 are asymptomatic, 20 have mild symptoms, one has moderate symptoms, one has severe symptoms requiring oxygen and there are no COVID-19 patients in the ICU as on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Government of Nagaland has re-imposed night curfew, restricted mass gatherings and Directed Schools not to hold classes up to class eight till January 31 to check the spread of coronavirus.
The night curfews from 9 PM to 5 AM and the restriction on mass gatherings to 50pc of the capacity of the venue or up to a maximum of 200 people, whichever is lower, subject to all those taking part are fully vaccinated.
