North DM ensures peaceful by-election at Jubarajnagar seat

Agartala, June 22, 2022: District Magistrate of the North Tripura district Nagesh Kumar B on Wednesday highlighted by-election preparedness initiated in 57-Jubarajnagar assembly constituency.Speaking to reporters here at Bir Bikram Institute in Dharmanagar, DM Nagesh Kumar B said that eleven different kinds of identity cards with photography can be produced beside Voter ID card while taking entry in polling stations.There are 50 booth centers in 39 places. There will be paramilitary within 100 meters and TSR between 100 meters and 200 meters. Booth No. 42 of Tilthai will be run entirely by women. A total of 5 candidates are contesting in this center, he added.
DM, who is also the District Electoral Officer said "The 443-person postal ballot was scheduled for June 17, 18 and 19. Among them, 427 voters went to their homes and exercised their postal voting right. Five companies of CAPF have been deployed in this by-election.In every booth centre, 13-17 CAPF, TSR and police personnel including polling staff will be present. There are two booth centers in eleven places. The administration has taken all possible steps to make this by-election peaceful and successful, he also added.In this press conference, Additional District Magistrate Jayant Dey, North District Superintendent of Police Dr Kiran Kumar K and Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Returning Officer L Darlong were present.
