Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said five phases of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections have completed as from west to east people of the state have rejected dynastic politicians. Addressing an election rally here, Modi said, "Five phases of polls are over in UP and from west to east the people of the state have rejected dynastic politicians. They have said the vehicle of UP is now not going to get stuck in the lanes of caste and creed. It has gained speed on the highway of development." He said rising above the caste, respecting the national interest and opposing dynasty politics is the definition of Ballia. "Development of Ballia, Purvanchal and UP is my duty and priority as well. UP has given a lot to be, therefore I have taken a resolve to serve the poorest of the poor. Whether it's about roads, hospitals or electricity in Purvanchal, attention is being paid to every development work," he said. The PM said the dynastic politicians destroyed the law and order situation in the state. "The Yogi government is bringing it back on track. Businessmen of Ballia can never forget how goons and criminals used to snatch their money. Today under the Yogi government, traders of Ballia are safe. Sisters and daughters here have no fear of goons and criminals while stepping out of the house," he said. He said during their regime the dynastic politicians only filled their coffers and paid no attention to the development of the area. "They failed to understand that even Ballia needs good roads. In five years our government got several roads constructed here and the work to widen the roads is going on with speed," he said. Modi said he has an emotional connection with Ballia as the scheme to change the lives of mothers and sisters 'Ujjwala scheme was launched from here. "Taking inspiration from the Ballia Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is serving the poor from birth till the last stage of life," he said. He said under the Matra Vandana scheme more than Rs 10,000 crore have been transferred in the accounts of the pregnant women. "After birth the biggest need of the children is that they get the right vaccine at the right time. For that the government has launched mission Indradhanush," he said. The PM said, "To ensure that the children of the poor, Dalits and backward community can get proper education, scholarships have been hiked. Our government also paid attention towards employment and self-employment opportunities for the poor after completing education. Lakhs of youths are being trained every year under the Skill Development scheme so that they get a job easily." He said for the poor, who want to start their own business, Mudra scheme is there. "Under the scheme the youths can get loans without any guarantee and I am pleased that the daughters of poor families in villages are taking the maximum benefit of the scheme," he said. Modi said the government launched the PM housing scheme for the poor under which 34 lakh pucca houses have been given in UP. "In our country everyone talks about farmers, but no one talks about the small farmers despite the fact that out of 100 farmers 90 are small ones. Keeping in mind their needs we started the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme," he said. He said provision of pension has been made for the workers, farmers and small businessmen after 60 years of age. "We made honest efforts to ensure that every poor person gets the benefits of these schemes. "For the development of Ballia, Purvanchal and UP it is necessary that the double engine government continues in the state," he said.
