Agartala, 24th February 2025: A significant political shift took place this evening in Jaharnagar under Ambassa Mandal as 219 voters from 76 families left various political parties to join the BJP, marking the first joining meeting under the new leadership of Mandal President Ajay Adhikari.
The event was organized by the BJP Ambassa Mandal Committee in presence of BJP Dhalai District Committee President Pratiram Tripura, District Committee General Secretary Gopal Sutradhar, Secretary Lalfir Halam and Mandal Committee President Ajay Adhikari.
Addressing the gathering, Ajay Adhikari, the newly appointed Mandal President emphasized the ongoing development in the state facilitated by the central government. “The central government is committed to the development of all regions across the country. The trend of development continues in our state as well,” said Adhikari.
He expressed optimism about more opposition members joining BJP in the future. “Those who are still with the opposition parties are recognizing the progress we’ve made and are choosing to be part of this development. I am confident that many more will join the Bharatiya Janata Party in the coming days.”
In his speech, BJP Dhalai District President Patiram Tripura highlighted the significance of the joining meeting and announced that similar events would be organized in every booth soon. “With the ongoing development in the state, many from the opposition camp are eager to join BJP. Our joining meetings will continue from now on, ensuring every booth hosts such events,” Tripura stated.
The meeting was led primarily by Ajay Adhikari culminated with the new members being welcomed and handed over the party flag by the District Committee President and the Mandal President. The attendance of party workers and supporters at the event was notably high, highlighting the growing support for BJP in the region.
