Agartala, September 09, 2022: The three-day long traditional ‘Neermahal Jal Utsav’ has started from today at Rajghat Muktamancha in Melaghar. The festival will continue till September 11. MLA Subhash Das inaugurated the festival.
Deputy Director of Tourism department Dilip Debbarma and Tripura Haj Committee Chairman Md Jashim Uddin. Additional DM of Sepahijala district Subhashis Bandyopadhyay delivered the welcome speech. Pabitra Kumar Das, President of Rudrasagar Refugee Fishermen’s Cooperative Society gave a vote of thanks. The opening music was performed by local artists.
Social activists Debabrata Bhattacharya and Biswajit Das were present as other guests on the occasion. The Niramhal Jal Utsav has been organized by the Departments of Tourism, Information and Cultural Affairs, Youth Affairs and Sports, Rudrasagar Refugee Fishermen Cooperative Society, Melaghar Municipal Council and Sonamura Sub-Divisional administration.
