Agartala, 10th May 2024 : A 32-year-old electrician is currently battling for his life after being electrocuted. The man identified as Shyamal Tripura is receiving critical care at GB Hospital following the incident.
The accident took place in Baikhora where Tripura was employed by contractor Ratan Pal in Amarpur. While engaged in work on the power lines, he sustained severe injuries. His quick-thinking colleagues immediately came to his aid and transported him to South Tripura District Hospital at Santirbazar. Given the gravity of his injuries, the attending physician deemed it necessary to have him moved to GB Hospital for advanced treatment.
The incident has sparked concern among the local populace, who are questioning the circumstances leading to Mr. Tripura’s electrocution, especially given reports that the power line had been deactivated. The authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the accident and to ensure such incidents are prevented in the future.
