Agartala July 27: Raising allegation against the Modi led central government for not complying with its promises the All India Kishan Khet Mazdoor Organization on Wednesday called an all-India protest program on July 27 to protest against such fraud by the government and the new GST levy on food items.

Farmers have been protesting in Delhi for a long time with various demands, including repeal of the three Agriculture acts and repeal of the Electricity Act Amendment Bill 2021, enacting legislation to provide subsidized prices for crops to farmers. Later, the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured the farmers of fulfilling the promise. But it has been seen that the government is not keeping its promises.

As a part of the nation-wide program, a protest demonstration was organized in the Drop Gate area by the State Committee. The leaders demanded that the Electricity Act Amendment Bill 2021 should be repealed, GST should be withdrawn from food items and farmers should be given subsidized prices for their crops. State committee secretary Subrata Chakraborty said that the protest program was mainly organized on three-point demands.
