Agartala, 17th February 2026: A passenger-carrying auto-rickshaw overturned in the Nabinnagar Chawk Bazaar area today, leaving three people, including a child, critically injured. The incident sparked panic among locals in the busy marketplace.
According to eyewitnesses, the auto was speeding when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to flip over. Passengers were thrown onto the road due to the impact. Local residents quickly rushed to the scene and rescued the injured, sending them to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.
Police arrived shortly after receiving the report and have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. Authorities confirmed that traffic movement in the area was disrupted for some time following the mishap.
