Agartala, 8th June 2024: A youth named Parimal Tanti lost his life in a tragic accident on Friday night when the auto-rickshaw he was in overturned causing shock and grief in Ranirbazar under West Tripura district. However, the incident has taken a contentious turn as his mother alleges foul play, claiming her son was murdered.
Parimal, married to Manika Tanti five years ago, lived with his in-laws and had two children. His mother received a distressing call from her daughter-in-law, informing her that Parimal had been seriously injured in an auto-rickshaw accident while going to the market to buy meat.
“Parimal was taken to Ranirbazar Hospital for initial treatment and then referred to GB Hospital,” his mother said. “Due to the unavailability of a vehicle at night, they took him home. When his condition worsened, they rushed him to GB Hospital again, but it was too late. He succumbed to his injuries.”
The news of Parimal’s death reached his family on Saturday morning. Amidst the grief, his mother insisted that her son was murdered, citing the lack of injuries on the driver. The family plans to file a case against the auto driver, seeking justice. Local authorities have yet to comment as the investigation takes place, leaving Ranirbazar on edge.
