Today, on the auspicious occasion of Maha Saptami, devotees congregated in large numbers to partake in the traditional celebrations.

Durga Puja, a cherished festival among Hindus and Bengalis, typically observed in the month of Ashwin, sees its counterpart, Basanti Puja, in the month of Chaitra. This year, the Basanti Puja at Durgabari, Agartala, has unfolded in a deeply religious ambiance, echoing the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Speaking about the ongoing rituals, a priest of the temple remarked that the Basanti Puja, organized under government initiative, has commenced with the Bodhan ceremony on Monday, marking the official beginning of the festivities.
