BJP Membership surpasses 6 Lakh,  to reach 12 lakh target: CM

Agartala, 20th October 2024:  Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today announced that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura has successfully enrolled over 6 lakh members as part of its ongoing membership drive and is well on its way to achieving the target of 12 lakh.

Addressing the media while participating in the BJP’s membership drive in the 8-Town Baradowali assembly constituency, Dr. Saha expressed confidence in the party’s growing popularity in the state. “The people of Tripura have immense faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP. Our membership drive has garnered a positive response, with over 6 lakh members joining online so far. We are optimistic that we will reach our target of 12 lakh soon,” the Chief Minister said.

As part of the drive, Dr. Saha, who is also the MLA of the 8-Town Baradowali constituency, actively engaged with residents at booths 16 and 17 in Ward No. 20, alongside other party leaders. He shared that the membership drive has generated significant enthusiasm in the constituency, with over 12,000 people already joining out of a target of 20,000.

“We are witnessing great excitement and support for the BJP. Offline registrations are still being tallied, and the total number of members is likely to surpass our current estimates,” Dr. Saha added. He further extended a warm welcome to all new members joining the party and expressed confidence that the numbers would continue to grow.

Dr. Saha was accompanied by Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumdar, Corporator Ratna Dutta, Baradowali Mandal President Sanjay Saha, and other party officials during the event. The membership drive is part of a nationwide effort to expand the BJP’s reach across India.
