Agartala, 8th October 2023 : In a compelling address at the MBB Auditorium of Tripura University, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha underscored the pivotal role of teachers in shaping the minds of students towards nationalistic thinking.
Speaking at a function held on Sunday, he expressed that teachers bear a significant responsibility in guiding students on the right path.
Dr. Saha emphasized that experience in a subject is a cornerstone for effective teaching. He noted, however, that society tends to accord higher regard to educators holding formal degrees, diplomas, or certificates. The Chief Minister opined that genuine organizational efficacy stems from diligent work and stressed that true progress is unattainable without it.
Reflecting on the state’s historical context, Dr. Saha remarked that traditional organizational models were prevalent during communist rule, emphasizing the vitality of well-structured, goal-oriented entities. He urged those with a proclivity towards statism to channel their efforts into fostering such organizations, asserting that they are indispensable for resolving societal challenges.
Furthermore, Dr. Saha highlighted the alignment between the state government’s endeavors and the initiatives of the central government. This synchronicity, he believes, ensures a cohesive and unified approach towards development.
The event witnessed active participation from professors representing various colleges in the region, who convened for the annual general meeting. Distinguished guests, including the Vice-Chancellor of Tripura Central University, graced the occasion with their presence.
