CM extends financial assistance after house gutted in fire

Agartala, 18th February 2026:   Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today extended financial assistance after visiting the residence of Rajesh Dey, whose house was totally burnt to ashes in a fire accident.

On February 16, in an accident, the residence of Rajesh Dey in Tanti Para, AD Nagar, Baradowali Assembly Constituency was completely damaged in a fire.

Dr. Saha visited the spot today and provided immediate financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh 20 thousand on behalf of the state government. In addition, all necessary assistance has been assured to the affected family.

Later, Dr. Saha said that a fire had engulfed the residence Rajesh Dey.

“The fire has destroyed the entire house. Yesterday, I received the information. However, as I was in Unakoti, I couldn’t visit. Today, I came here to inspect the situation. No one was present at the time of the incident. I have asked the SDM and DM to look after the matter. The government has provided financial assistance so that they can reconstruct the house,” he said.
