Agartala, 2nd July 2023: Slamming erstwhile Left Front government for destroying the state, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Sunday appealed everyone including the Clubs to work against the drugs menace in the state.
While addressing blood donation camp at Yuva Samaj Club in Agartala, CM Dr Saha said that there is a significant change in the club cultures in Tripura.
“Now clubs are engaging with different social works, Yoga practice, sports and etc. Earlier club means atonko which is now nowhere. This pond in Yuva Samaj club is very old but earlier no initiatives were taken for the beautification. Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation has said how they worked for the beautification of this pond. Our government and PM Modi want change of society.”
He accused the Left Front Government for destroying the society and youths.
“Since last 35 years this society was destroyed and engulfed with drugs. Youths are involved. And coming out from such situation is very difficult but our government is working and taking strict action against the persons engaged with such works. Now a day many people are being arrested. Clubs should come forward with Police and Government. We have to work against this or else next generation will destroy. We have never seen Agartala like this way. Everyone should come to work in a move to destroy drug menace in state. Clubs play crucial role in society in solving the problems”, said CM Saha.
