Congress gheraoes Amtali Police station, held protest in Sonamura

Agartala: September 05. The Pradesh Congress today held protests in two separate locations including one in Amtali police station.Today the Youth Congress under Badharghat Block Congress has gheraoed the Amtali police station demanding the arrest of the persons who have attacked Congress workers.

Youth Congress President Rakhu Das said since last few days the Congress workers are being repeatedly coming under constant attacks by the ruling BJP party workers under the Amtali police station area since last few days but every time when Congress workers come to Amtali police station to file a case they don’t register it.Das further said that today threatened that if the accused are not arrested within 24 hours then they will be bound to take some serious steps.

Along with Rakhu, Badharghat Block Youth Congress President Jayanta Dey, Vice President Shajahan Islam, General Secretary Arnika Saha were present.Meanwhile, in Sonamura Congress held a protest by floating paper boats in Gomati River.They said that the BJP has promised that ships will come from Bangladesh in Tripura following which trade will increase but till today there is no ships have arrived.

Congress termed the promise of the ship as Jumla. Today, under the leadership of Tripura Pradesh Congress social media chairman Monir Hossain the protest held.He said people can no longer be fooled by the BJP Jhumla party’s promises and everyone should be careful.
