Agartala, 24th February 2025: A devastating fire engulfed and destroyed the residence of Pintu Debbarma, Vice-President of IPFT Bishramganj Division in Boyramura ADC Village, Bishramganj. The incident took place this morning when a gas cylinder explosion in the kitchen set the house ablaze. The fire spread rapidly, fueled by a large quantity of rubber sheets stored inside and soon engulfed all the household items.
Pintu Debbarma managed to escape unharmed, but the fire caused extensive damage estimated at Rs 7-8 lakhs. Tripura Youth IPFT President Bikash Debbarma along with IPFT workers rushed to the scene upon hearing the news. They interacted with the affected family members and offered their support.
Pintu Debbarma complained that due to poor road conditions, the Bishramganj Fire Department was unable to reach the scene promptly. Meanwhile, neighbors were busy salvaging their belongings but did not extend much help in extinguishing the fire. The Youth IPFT President assured the affected family of continuous support in their time of need.
