Agartala, 3rd October 2024: Divyangan youths in the state expressed their disappointment following the announcement of the JRBT Group D examination results. A group of Divyang job aspirants visited the JRBT board office on Thursday to submit a formal deputation to the board chairman, raising concerns over the recruitment process.
The aspirants highlighted that while the JRBT conducts examinations for Group C and Group D posts, a significant number of reserved positions for Divyang candidates remain unfilled. Specifically, 37 positions designated for Divyangs in Group C and 20 in Group D have been reported vacant since the results were released.
The job seekers have demanded that these positions be filled immediately based on the marks obtained in the examination, without any division. One candidate, Shanti Prasad Roy, expressed frustration over his situation, revealing that he scored 42 marks but did not secure a job. As an SC category candidate and a Divyang, he is particularly concerned, noting that several candidates with lower scores than his were offered jobs.
The publication of the merit list has been marred by numerous complaints, yet the government has remained silent on the issue. Recently, the Yuva Congress alleged that JRBT released the merit list without providing a waiting list or marks, raising suspicions of irregularities within the recruitment process.
