Agartala: May 31. At least 8 persons were injured in two separate accidents that took place in Bishalgarh and in Belonia.
Seven people were injured in a head-on collision between a TATA Tigor and Bolero vehicle in the Dhamailikochi area adjacent to Sepahijala Fast Gate under Bishalgarh Police Station today. The Bolero car was going to Agartala from Charilam’s direction while the TATA Tigor car was heading to Udaipur from Bishalgarh. The accident was reported to Bishalgarh fire department personnel, the fire department personnel rushed to the spot and took seven people to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital, out of which three were referred to AGMC as their condition was critical.
The police of Bishalgarh police station rushed to the spot. Due to this accident, the traffic on the Agartala Sabroom national highway was slightly disturbed in both directions.
However, accidents in the Bishalgarh police station area seem to be increasing day by day.
In Belonia one bike rider Sadai Kumar Tripura (17), a resident of the Batisa Colony area sustained severe injuries after he collided with a cow in the Chottakhola area under PR Bari police station at around 2 pm today. Soon after the incident, he was rushed to Niharnagar Primary Health Center where the on-duty doctors referred him to Belonia Sub-Divisional Hospital after the first treatment. However, from there he was shifted to Udaipur District Hospital as his condition was critical.
