Agartala, 9th August 2025: A tragic road accident near the 40-foot bridge in North Halhuli has left the local community in shock, following the death of a man in his sixties.
According to the victim’s brother, the incident occurred early this morning while the deceased, identified as Monindra Sutradhar, was en route to his shop. Two scooters collided head-on near the bridge, causing Sutradhar to be thrown onto the road.
A resident of North Halhuli and a well-known trader at Halhuli Bazaar, he initially declined medical attention and returned home despite family members urging him to visit the hospital.
Later in the day, Sutradhar’s condition deteriorated rapidly. He began vomiting unexpectedly, prompting his family to rush him to the hospital. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
