Agartala, 14th February 2026: Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma visited the Muhuripur Sub-Division under the Jolaibari Kakulia Forest Range to review ongoing departmental activities. The minister conducted an on-site inspection to assess the progress of various forest-related projects and identify existing challenges in the area.
During the visit, Debbarma held detailed discussions with officials on current issues and ongoing initiatives. He directed the department to promptly identify local problems and take necessary measures, with particular emphasis on forest conservation, developmental work, and strengthening coordination with local communities.
The minister also interacted with members of self-help groups, listening to their experiences, concerns, and support requirements. He engaged with local residents to gain firsthand knowledge of their perspectives on forest-related matters.
Speaking to the press, Debbarma stated that the purpose of the visit was to closely examine departmental work and identify gaps. “Some issues have been detected, and instructions have been given to officials for immediate resolution,” he said.
Officials present during the inspection included the Jolaibari Range Forest Officer, the South District Forest Officer, and other departmental representatives.
