Over the past week, Rebati Tripura has been actively participating in organizational meetings in various constituencies including Kurti, Kadamtala and Bagbasa in the North District. These meetings have seen the presence of district and mandal presidents, along with other party officials.

When asked about the current MP’s whereabouts, she appeared momentarily uncomfortable but responded, “You should ask the current MP about that.” He clarified that her participation in these meetings was in her capacity as a member of the BJP’s core committee and that she plans to attend similar meetings in other constituencies.

During the last Lok Sabha elections, he was sidelined from the party’s nomination process despite her reputation as a leader with a clean image. Instead, the BJP fielded Kriti Singh Debbarma, a political newcomer and sister of Tipra Motha Party’s Supremo Pradyot Kishore Debbarma. This decision stirred controversy, as Kriti Singh Debbarma was not a BJP member at the time and was perceived to have stronger ties to the Motha Party. Following her election victory, Kriti Singh Debbarma reportedly relocated to Uttarakhand and Delhi, distancing herself from party activities in Tripura. Her absence from party programs has raised questions among BJP leaders and supporters, with some expressing a lack of confidence in her leadership.
In contrast, Rebati Tripura’s recent resurgence has sparked speculation about her potential future roles within the party. Political observers suggest that the BJP may be leveraging her clean image and tribal leadership to strengthen its organizational presence in the hill regions.
