Four thefts triggers tension at Kamalpur NP

Agartala, February 23, 2023: Four thefts comprising two grocery shops and two households in Kamalpur nagar panchayat area has triggered massive tension on Thursday.

It is reported that the shop owners are Prasenjit Debnath and Kalipada Debnath. The owners of the house are Kajal Banik and Prannoy Dey.

Meanwhile, the owner of the house Kajol Banik said that his wife is currently under treatment of Silchar. He locked the house and stayed in Silchar with his wife for a few days. He came home two days back to take money for his wife’s treatment.

He collected Rs 32,000 for the treatment and kept it in a tank in the house. But burglars’ group also broke the door of the house and took away that money in his absence. He also said that he took several gold ornaments of his wife.

Similar incident took place at Prannoy’s house where burglars attacked his house and ran away with Rs 12,500. Meanwhile, shop owner Prasenjit Debnath said. After breaking the shutter door of his shop, thieves entered and escaped with Rs 32,000 in cash, six bundles of flag cigarettes, along with a CCTV camera and various valuables. Meanwhile, a group of thieves stole some cash from Kalipada Debnath’s shop.

However, panic prevailed among the common people after this terrible theft was organized late on Wednesday night. They cannot figure out how to protect their wealth.
