Agartala, March 15: The International Women’s Day 2023 was held at Sabroom Fair grounds on Wednesday.
Chairperson of Sabroom Nagar Panchayat Rama Poddar Dey and Assistant Director of Youth Affairs and Sports Mihir Shil were present at the event. Sabrum Nagar Panchayat Vice-Chairperson Dipak Das presided over the function.
The event started auspiciously with the lighting of the lamp and the national anthem. After that, gold medalist in the North East Judo competition, Sumi Mog from Manu Bankul area of Sabrum was felicitated by the chairperson of Sabroom Nagar Panchayat, Rama Poddar Dey.
After that, a total of four competitions were organized in three age-wise categories among female sports lovers from 15 to 40 years of age, and 36 Prizes were awarded to the winning players. The games included a 100-metre race, a 200-metre race, a short throw competition and a game of musical chairs.
