LoP alleges stagnation in development under Tipra Motha in TTAADC

Date:

Agartala, 8th April 2026: Leader of Opposition, Jitendra Chaudhury, today alleged that various problems faced by the common people have been increasing during the tenure of the current ruling Tipra Motha Party in the TTAADC, and that there has been stagnation in development.

Chaudhury made these remarks while addressing a rally held at Birchandramanu Bazar in the Shantirbazar subdivision in support of Left Front candidates Parikshit Murasingh from the Kathalia-Mirza-Rajapur constituency (number 22) and Narendra Reang from the Birchandranagar Kalsi constituency (number 26).

A procession preceded the election rally. CPIM Tripura State Secretary and Leader of Opposition in the Tripura Legislative Assembly, Jitendra Chaudhury, addressed the gathering.

During his speech, he strongly criticized Tipra Motha, alleging that the common people are facing increasing problems under the current ruling party in both the state and the TTAADC, leading to stagnation in development.

“Those who are today’s IPFT and Tipra Motha, their predecessors were T.U.J.S and I.N.P.T. They were the ones who created the N.L.F.T and Tiger Force in Tripura. There is no need to explain these to the people. They were an obstacle to the progress of Tripura,” he said.

Chaudhury emphasized that to establish the right leadership in the autonomous district council, the CPIM candidates must be victorious. He also urged party workers and supporters to increase their outreach by going door-to-door and highlighting the government’s failures.

Expressing optimism, he said that the people will vote in favor of change and that CPIM will perform well in the upcoming elections.
