Agartala, 15th October 2025: All the staffs of KVK-Sepahijala attended celebration of Mahila Kisan Diwas-2025, organised by Department of Agriculture & framer welfare, Govt. of India.
Extension Education Institute (NE Region), Assam Agricultural University, Khanapara today to mark Mahila Kisan Diwas at EEI, Guwahati on hybrid mode awarded Bashiham Rangkhal, Killaverma VC, Jampuijala RD Block, Sepahijala District, honoured with certificate of appreciation in recognition of the outstanding and exemplary contributions in promotion of chemical free natural farming with beejamrit, jeevamrit, ghana-jeevamrit, neemastra etc.
She is also promoting biomulching (straw mulching), intercropping of maize with frenchbean / blackgram / cowpea, millet with greengram / groundnut, millet with different vegetables viz., frenchbean, cowpea, cabbage, cauliflower, carrot, radish, coriander, etc.
All the activities were carried out under the guidance of Dr Utpal Dey, SMS (Plant Protection), Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sepahijala and supervision of Dr Shatabhisa Sarkar, Senior Scientist & Head. KVK Sepahijala would like to acknowledge Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, CAU, Imphal, Dr. Ph. Ranjit Sharma, Director, Directorate of Extension Education, CAU, Imphal; Dr. A.
