Mediation for Nation: 90-day special camp to begin soon at Sabroom Court

Agartala, 17th February 2026:  In a bid to expedite the resolution of pending cases, Sabroom Court is set to launch a 90-day special mediation camp under the initiative “Mediation for Nation.” The program will commence shortly at the court of the Additional District and Sessions Judge.

To mark the occasion, an awareness rally was organized on Tuesday by the Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committee. The rally took place within the Sabroom Court premises and along nearby routes. Among those present were Judicial Magistrate First Class Rupashree Deb, SDJM N. R. Rakesh, mediator Apan Dutta, along with police personnel and other court officials.

Speaking to the media, Judicial Magistrate Rupashree Deb emphasized that the initiative aims to provide speedy and amicable settlements for long-pending cases. She noted that mediation would help save both time and expenses, while fostering mutual understanding between disputing parties. Deb expressed optimism that this special effort would pave the way for more harmonious dispute resolution in the region.
