Agartala, 16th December 2025: A tragic incident took place in Sonamura’s Baro Narayan area when 60-year-old Pratibha Debnath passed away after hearing that her son, Biswajit Debnath, had met with an accident.
Biswajit was returning home after attending his sister-in-law’s wedding when his vehicle met with an accident at Indira Nagar Colony in Melaghar. He fell into a deep gorge but miraculously survived. Though injured, he was initially admitted to Melaghar Hospital and later referred to GB Hospital late at night.
Meanwhile, the sudden demise of his mother has left the family grief-stricken, as relatives now face the dual burden of caring for the injured Biswajit and arranging Pratibha Debnath’s last rites.
