Agartala, 5th July 2024: The Research and Development Department of the ICFAI University Tripura organized an international workshop on “The Craft and Methodology of Thesis Composition: Exploring Research Design, Ethics, and Academic Writing,” from 1st July to 5th July, 2024 on hybrid mode.
The objective of the workshop was to bring together a diverse group of experts, researchers, and academicians from India and abroad for fostering a dynamic platform of knowledge exchange and skill development in research and thesis writing.
The workshop was scheduled for five days with 17 different technical sessions focused on Research, Ethics, Research Methodology, Journal finding tools, Insights of publication platforms, Literature review, Sampling techniques, Research Statistics, Transformation of dissertations into monographs Context of thesis writing etc.
The Workshop was formally inaugurated by Prof.(Dr.) Biplab Halder, Vice Chancellor of the University along with Dr. Asis De, Associate Professor of the Mahishadal Raj College, West Bengal and Dr. K. Mahalakshmi from Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore and other dignitaries.
A galaxy of resource persons were participated from renowned research institutions from India and abroad for enlightening various technical aspects of thesis composition and designing of research papers. Prof. (Dr.) Raghu Echempati of Wayne State University, Detroit, USA came to the University on forth day as honoured international resource person and took the session on Research Methodology in Science & Engineering.
Another honoured international resource person, Dr. Alessandro Vescovi from University of Milano, Italy has virtually delivered a lecture on transformation of dissertations into monographs.
About 140 national & international research scholars and faculty members participated in the workshop. The participants were immensely benefited by gathering knowledge on comprehensive and structured essential components of Research.
The workshop concluded with a valedictory program on 5th July, 2024. Ms.Vicky Lester, the chief executive officer of the Case Centre of Cranfield University, UK was also present through online in the valedictory session. The entire workshop was coordinated by Dr. Dhananjoy Datta, Dean Research & Development of the University.
