Agartala, 24th April 2025: The classes at Nivedita HS School have resumed after a series of incidents that disrupted normal activities. Educationists from Kumarghat have raised concerns about the school’s management committee, stating that its handling of affairs has led to significant problems.
Sources from the education sector, who preferred to remain anonymous alleged that substantial financial transactions take place within the school, attracting vested interests aiming to manipulate the system for personal gain. They claim that in many private institutions, guardians have limited influence over management decisions, whereas in this particular school, an unusual movement appears to have been organized—misleading certain guardians in an effort to secure positions for them within the school.
Further concerns were raised regarding internal conflicts among teachers. Some faculty members, reportedly dissatisfied with the school’s administration under Vidya Bharati, are said to have engaged in activities aimed at tarnishing the institution’s reputation. Allegedly, these teachers have been fueling discontent among parents, leading to agitation and disruption.
A senior police official, speaking on condition of anonymity acknowledged certain shortcomings within Vidya Bharati and stressed the importance of addressing them. He remarked that such issues have not been reported in any other state before, making the incidents in Tripura particularly significant.
