Agartala: September 25. Tripura Police on Monday arrested a person and seized narcotics and a conutrymade gun from his possession in Khowai district.
Speaking with reporters, Khowai Sub-Divisional Police Officer Pushan Kanti Majumder said, “Today we have launched a special operation by forming a team. We conducted a raid in various areas and then we received information that one Gautam Barman had kept a huge cache of narcotics and some firearms. We have rushed to his home, conducted raids and seized heroin and one country made gun”.
The SDPO further said that two cases of heroin, 7 mobile phones, one tablet, cash Rs 2.7 lakh and the gun was recovered from the residence of Gautam.“We have arrested Gautam Barman under Arms Act and NDPS sections”, he said.
