Agartala, 20th March 2025:   Over 500 employees of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited operating under Advanced Route Technology Information Private Limited have taken to the streets once again protesting outside the company’s office at Joynagar area here on Thursday. The employees allege that they have not received their salaries for the past five months and are demanding immediate payment of their dues. They have warned that failure to address their grievances will lead to a larger movement in the coming days.

One of the protesting employees, speaking to reporters, revealed the extent of the issue. “For the past two years, more than 500 of us have been working under this company. However, for the last five months, we have only been receiving one month’s salary every alternate month. When we approached the company officials about this, they gave us excuses instead of solutions,” he said.

The protestors, who have gathered from various parts of the state, are determined to make their voices heard. “A few days ago, we organized a protest demanding the return of the money that was taken from us in advance, along with the payment of our outstanding salaries. At that time, the company authorities assured us that the dues would be cleared immediately. But to date, no action has been taken,” the employee added.

The employees are now demanding that their arrears be paid within the next week. “If our demands are not met, we will escalate our movement and take stronger action,” warned one of the protestors.

The ongoing protests highlight the growing frustration among the employees, who feel neglected and unheard. The company is yet to issue an official statement addressing the allegations or providing a timeline for the payment of the outstanding salaries.
