Agartala, 27th February 2026 : The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) conducted the Higher Secondary examinations in Bengali, Hindi, Kokborok, and Mizo languages across the state today. In addition, examinations for Bengali were held for Madrasa Fazil Arts and Madrasa Fazil Theology streams.
According to an official statement issued by the Board, all examination centres under the 62 Higher Secondary examination venues in the state reported a peaceful atmosphere.
A total of 25,021 candidates were registered for the Higher Secondary examinations in Bengali, Hindi, Kokborok, and Mizo, as well as for Bengali in Madrasa Fazil Arts and Madrasa Fazil Theology. Of them, 24,821 candidates appeared for the examinations across the state, while 200 candidates remained absent. The overall attendance rate stood at an impressive 99.20 percent.
The President of the Board, Dr. Dhananjoy Gonchoudhury, visited several examination centres, including Ramakrishna Vivekananda Vidyamandir, PM Shri Kamini Kumar Singh Memorial Higher Secondary School, Bodhjung Higher Secondary Girls’ School, and Bijoy Kumar Higher Secondary Girls’ School.
The Board’s Secretary, Dr. Joydeep Bhattacharya, along with OSD Neelamadhab Saha, inspected examination centres at Hapania Higher Secondary School, Purba Gokulnagar Higher Secondary School, Bishalgarh Higher Secondary School, and Sepahijala Higher Secondary School. Another OSD, Kishore Dutta, visited Bardowkathalia Higher Secondary School.
The next Higher Secondary examinations are scheduled to be held on March 2 for Sanskrit, Statistics, Arabic, as well as Arabic for Madrasa Fazil Arts and Madrasa Fazil Theology.
