Various public and private cultural organizations, along with voluntary groups, orchestrated a multitude of programs to honor the revered poet’s contributions.

In the heart of Agartala, the Information and Cultural Affairs Department of the Government of Tripura orchestrated a cultural extravaganza at Rabindra Kanan in the Kunjavan area. Secretary PK Chakraborty presided over the event as the chief guest, adhering to election regulations amidst the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. The program commenced with the garlanding of Tagore’s statue, followed by captivating performances of Rabindra Sangeet, poetry recitations, and dance renditions by artists of diverse ages.

Adding to the vibrant celebrations, the Bengali Cultural Circle organized a morning ferry program, setting sail from Umakanta Academy and meandering through the city’s streets before culminating back at its starting point. Meanwhile, left-wing student and youth organizations convened at Chatra-Juva Bhavan in Melermath to pay homage to Tagore’s legacy with their own commemorative event.
