Agartala, 6th October 2024: A health camp and cloth distribution event was organized on Sunday at Kamini Kumar Singha Memorial Higher Secondary School in anticipation of the upcoming Durga Puja festival. The event aimed to provide relief to flood-affected residents of Ward No. 31, who were severely impacted by the devastating floods in August.
Member of Parliament Rajib Bhattacharya was present at the event, addressing the media and emphasizing the government’s commitment to social change. “Today’s program is a prime example of society moving forward in response to the government’s call for social change,” MP Bhattacharya stated.
The event was organized in collaboration with the Rotary Club and Tripura Gramin Bank, who joined forces to bring a sense of hope to the flood victims. MP Bhattacharya extended his gratitude to the organizations, praising their commendable efforts. “Such an initiative, with the cooperation of the local community, is truly praiseworthy,” he added.
During the event, MP Bhattacharya personally distributed clothes to the flood victims and took the opportunity to visit the health camp, which was set up to offer free medical services to those in need. As the festive season approaches, he wished everyone a joyous Durga Puja and expressed hopes for a better future for the affected families.
