Agartala, April 06, 2023: OBC Welfare minister Santana Chakma on Thursday said that it is not possible to make ‘Ek Tripura, Shrestha Tripura’ by excluding people belonging to the OBC Community.
Chakma said that the aim of the government is to increase production and 100 rubber farmers of Nalchar RD Block have been given modern machinery after 30 days of training on Thursday.
Tripura OBC Corporation organized this training camp and farming equipment event. The training camp was held in Mayarani, Taxapara and Bagabasa in these 3 areas of the block. The closing ceremony was held at Nalchar’s Dashamighat ground.
While delivering the speech, OBC Welfare minister Santana Chakma said that the state and central governments are trying to make the country and the state better. And it will not be possible to make ‘Ek Tripura Shrestha Tripura’ by excluding people belonging to the OBC community. Bamboo and rubber of the state occupy a significant place in the country and the world. The state government is trying to make the state more economically profitable by developing it further.
Speaking at the programme, MLA Kishor Barman from Nalchar assembly constituency said that Tripura ranks second in rubber production in the country. The state government is trying to figure out how to bring it to the first place. There is no government or private sector in the state to make furniture from old rubber trees.
Nalchar Block Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Jaharlal Ghosh, OBC Corporation Chairman Tapas Majumder and others were present in the event. The guests gave certificates to the trained rubber farmers in the event.
