Agartala, 21st January 2026:   The Society for Fast Justice, Tripura, in collaboration with Michael Madhusudan Dutta College, organized a one-day seminar titled “Pathways to Social Justice: Ensuring Access to Justice for All” at PM Shri Chatakchari English Medium Higher Secondary School, Rupaichari, Sonaichari, Sabroom, South Tripura yesterday.

The seminar featured insightful lectures by Dr. Uma Bagam, Assistant Professor of Political Science at Michael Madhusudan Dutta College, and Arijit Chakraborty, Visiting Faculty at the School of Law, Techno India University.

Dr. Bagam discussed the concept of social justice and its implementation in Indian society, emphasizing the role of the Constitution and the rule of law.

Chakraborty highlighted the importance of government institutions in ensuring justice for the masses, explaining how citizens can access justice through police administration under the Police Accountability Commission, as well as through the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and State Legal Services Authority (SALSA).

The program began with a welcome address by Sudhan Debbarma, Headmaster of the host school. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ranjit Debnath, Teachers’ Council Secretary, who stressed the need for more such seminars in rural areas where legal awareness remains limited. He noted that empowering youth with legal knowledge would help shape them into responsible citizens within the constitutional framework.

The seminar witnessed active participation from teachers Arun Das, Mandira Reang, Dipti Tripura, Minakshi Tripura, Kuldeep Bhowmik and Sujoy Choudhury along with approximately 200 students. Their engagement underscored the relevance of the seminar as both an educational and awareness initiative.

Key support for the event came from Dr. Anupam Guha, Principal of Michael Madhusudan Dutta College, along with Prof. Chandrika Basu Majumder and Dr. Anjali Chakraborty, whose contributions ensured the program’s success.
