Seven suspected Bangladeshi youths detained in city

Agartala: October 22. The police of NCC police station arrested seven suspected Bangladeshis nationals. The police arrested them on the basis of secret information from the area adjacent to Indranagar Kalibari late on Friday night. Subir Malakar, OC of NCC police station, said that, the police had information that some Bangladeshi youths were roaming in and around Indranagar area.

 Accordingly, the police raided the area and arrested seven Bangladeshis nationals identified as Shahidul Sheikh, Zahir Ali, Rabban Sheikh, Sajib Ali, M Ali, Nayrul Islam and brought them to the police station. After initial interrogation, they found out that they had illegally entered India without passports. And they were roaming around Agartala city for work for the past few days. The police have registered a case against them and started investigating the incident. On Saturday, the police took them to court seeking remand. The police believe that by interrogating them, they will find out if there is any mystery behind their entry into Tripura.
