Agartala, August 25, 2023: A skeleton of a man was found in a pond near Lalmatia Gas Agency in Khayerpur on Friday afternoon, sparking a sensation in the area. The police of Bodhjungnagar police station reached the spot and recovered the skeleton and sent it to the laboratory for further examination.

The skeleton was spotted by some boys who were bathing in the pond around 2:30 pm. They saw a human skull floating on the water and informed the police. The police found the rest of the skeleton along with some torn clothes near the pond. The forensic team was also called to investigate the scene.

The police said that the skeleton might belong to Aminul Islam, a young man from Laddu Chowmuni area who went missing a few months ago. However, they could not confirm his identity as his family members were not available to recognize his clothes. The police said that they will wait for the DNA report to ascertain his identity.

The police also said that the cause of death was not clear yet. The skull was separated from the body, which raised suspicion of murder. Some locals speculated that someone might have killed and buried him next to the pond. However, the police ruled out this possibility and said that he might have died after falling into the water while drunk. The police said that they will probe the case from all angles and find out the truth.
