Agartala, 26th February 2026: A tragic accident occurred this morning in the Bhati Abhaynagar area, where a cyclist lost his life after being struck by a speeding tripper. The incident has caused widespread shock in the locality.
According to reports, Dipak Deb, a resident of Bhati Abhaynagar, was riding his bicycle along the road when a fast-moving tripper collided with him from behind. The impact threw him onto the road, leaving him gravely injured. He succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
Local residents managed to apprehend the driver of the vehicle and handed him over to the police. Authorities arrived at the scene to control the situation. The driver is currently being interrogated, and an investigation into the incident has begun.
Residents have alleged that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. The tragic event has cast a shadow of grief over the community.
