Agartala Jan 05: Alleging deprivation by the BJP-led state government the non-teaching staff of Tripura SSA Teachers Welfare Association placed deputation to the State Project Officer at Siksha Bhavan here on Thursday.

The protestors alleged, “Prior 2018 assembly polls, the ruling BJP promised to regularize all the contractual employees but nothing has been done in this regard so far”.

Speaking to the reporters, Kartik Dutta secretary SSA Non-teaching staff committee in Tripura said, “The salary of non-teaching staffs of Samagra Siksha Abhiyan was revised but the state government did not enhance the salary of the contractual employees and also did not pay any DA during the period of 2018-2022 on the grounds of existence of some salary related anomalies. Later, a committee was formed to solve the issues and once again the salary was revised this year, but even after the employees have been deprived from hiked pay structure”.

The agitating employees thereafter demanded immediate regularization of services of all non-teaching staffs of SSA and enhancement of salary as per ROP in view to provide job security and sake of livelihood.
