Agartala, 30th September 2023:   State BJP office, Vice-President Tapash Bhattacharya today announced the launch of the ‘Swachta Abhiyan’ program on October 1. This initiative, backed by the central government and the BJP, aims to further Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of fostering transparency as a national characteristic.

“Since assuming office in 2014, Prime Minister Modi has consistently emphasized the importance of transparency in governance. Every year, dedicated efforts are made to promote cleanliness and transparency within society through various means. During the recent ‘Man Ki Baat’ program, the Prime Minister called upon fellow countrymen to contribute their labor towards the success of the Swachta Abhiyan on October 1. The program’s scope ranges from the state BJP’s booth units to the state level, encouraging participation from Panchayat headmen to Members of Parliament. Each individual has been urged to dedicate one hour towards this noble cause”, he said.

Preparations for extensive transparency campaigns have been meticulously planned across various locations. A fortnight of dedicated service, observed from September 17 to October 2, culminates on the birthday of the nation’s revered figure, Mahatma Gandhi, on October 2.

Tapash  passionately urged every citizen to support this initiative by purchasing khadi cloth, in honor of the Father of the Nation. This collective effort aims to not only foster transparency but also uphold the values and principles that Mahatma Gandhi stood for.
