Agartala, 24th February 2025: In an effort to combat unemployment, a state-level job fair was held at Children’s Park, Udaipur today under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana. The fair was organized by the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission, which operates under the Rural Development department.
The primary objective of the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana is to enhance the skills of educated unemployed individuals through training provided by experienced trainers from various parts of the country. The program aims to make these individuals employable, with a goal of securing employment for 70% of the trained participants in various organizations.
A total of six companies participated in the job fair offering employment opportunities to 403 trained individuals based on their skills. These job opportunities are available in different parts of the country and the state. The job fair was inaugurated by Udaipur Municipal Council Chairman Shital Chandra Majumdar, Additional District Magistrate Jayanta Bhattacharya, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Tridip Sarkar.
The event brought hope and excitement to the participants, who are now looking forward to securing meaningful employment and contributing to the workforce.
