Agartala, 14th February 2026: Tension gripped a local school campus today as students staged a protest against the transfer of a teacher. Demonstrators locked the main gate of the institution and raised slogans demanding the reversal of the decision.
Students alleged that the school already suffers from a severe shortage of teaching staff. The recent transfer of a female teacher, they said, would further disrupt the learning environment. With examinations approaching, they fear the move will create a serious gap in classroom instruction.
The protesting students warned that unless the teacher is reinstated immediately, they will escalate their agitation. On Saturday, they carried out a symbolic protest by locking the school premises and called for intervention from the concerned department. The incident sparked tension in the area, though officials did not arrive at the site despite the prolonged demonstration.
