Sudhangshu inaugurates blood donation camp in connection with a Disaster Preparedness and Awareness Programme

Agartala, 20th March 2025:   The Animal Resources Development Department (ARDD) organized a blood donation camp in connection with a Disaster Preparedness and Awareness Programme at the Directorate of Animal Resources Development Department, Pandit Nehru Complex here today. 

Animal Resources Development, Fisheries and SC Welfare minister Sudhangshu Das graced the programme as the inaugurator and the chief guest. 

Among the other dignitaries, Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation and MLA Dipak Majumder and Sabhadipati of Paschim Tripura Zilla Parishad Biswajit Shil were also present in the said programme. 

A total of 77 employees and officials from the Animal Resources Development Department, Gomati Cooperative Milk Union Ltd., and other Milk Cooperative Societies donated blood during the event. 

Addressing the camp, the ARD, Fisheries and SC Welfare minister Das called for the regular organization of such blood donation camps to establish the department as an exemplary model of social responsibility beyond its professional duties. 

In an extended session of the programme, the blood donors were felicitated by the Minister and other dignitaries. 

Secretary of ARDD Deepa D. Nair, Additional Secretary and Director of ARDD Dr. N.K. Chanchal and other departmental officials including Additional Director of ARDD Dr. B.K. Das were also present at the event.
