Agartala, 15th July 2024: A thief named Rajat Saha was apprehended by police after stealing gold ornaments from Shyam Sundar Jewellery in a sophisticated manner. Saha, a resident of Malaynagar in the capital city carried out the theft on July 13.
The crime was captured by the store’s CCTV cameras, leading the jeweler to file a complaint at the East Agartala Police Station. According to the station’s Officer-in-Charge, police identified Saha from the footage and subsequently arrested him based on intelligence from their detectives.
The stolen gold ornaments were recovered from Saha, and a formal case has been registered against him.
